Practical lessons

During our practical lessons, all make-up techniques are explained that you need to get started as a professional make-up artist. Of course, everything starts with a good basis, during the first few lessons you will learn how to look at make-up from the point of view of a makeup artist.

Properly prepping the skin, finding the right foundation color, working on different skin colors and undertones, perfect eyebrows and creating a beautiful nomake-up look, you will learn extensively so that you can quickly delve into techniques such as shape & highlight, eye make-up looks (smokey eyes, cut crease, halo eyes), eyeliner techniques and theory such as color theory. In addition to the entire technical lessons, the training also includes more creative lessons such as the “festival make-up” lesson and “fashion week make-up”.

An extension of the practical lessons is our online learning environment. Here you will find the homework for each lesson to prepare. After each lesson you can post your homework on which you will receive feedback from the teacher. You will also find various make-up tutorials that you can always look back, an extensive social media training and model bank.

Photo shoots

During the training there are 4 photo shoots where you learn under supervision how make-up translates into images. You learn to cooperate and communicate with a photographer. During the shoots you show your techniques and creativity in beautiful make-up looks. All shoots have a theme such as Bronzed beauty, Beauty look, MET Gala and a final shoot assignment.

Internships

Learning make-up at Art of Colors does not only remain in the lessons or in the digital learning environment, but you get the opportunity to immediately apply it in practice!
